Voting

I'm adding my voice today and saying, "Go Vote!" It is an honor that we shouldn't take lightly today. I have prayed about who I will be casting my vote for, and I'm trusting my God as He is not a God of confusion. I do not believe He tells some of us who follow Him to vote for "this one" and some to go and vote for "that one." In the end, I'm always voting with HIM! I believe He has His hand on our country and always and irregardless, I'm voting with my Saviour.
I have a confession to make. When I came back to go to college, I was just plain lazy and I never went and registered to vote. I, therefore, had no voice. Take your responsibility to vote today seriously, and no matter who is elected today, pray for the "governing authorities." They are going to need a strength unlike any other in the years to come.
So, I hope to post my "I Voted" picture later on today. Write me and tell me about your voting experience. How were the lines? How was the demeanor of those around you? Was it a good day?
Happy Voting!!

"If my people, which are called by my name,
shall humble themselves, and pray,
and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways;
then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin,
and will heal their land."

II Chronicles 7:14

I VOTED!! After waiting in line for 2 hours and 10 minutes I finally voted! It reminded me a lot of the day after Thanksgiving!! Everyone seemed to be looking around making sure NO ONE broke in front of them for any reason!! Glad I'm finished and can go get my free cup of Starbucks now! :-)

I VOTED! It just took about 1 hour. This morning it was crazy so I went to walk and came back. The lady in front of me when to church with your guys at Lyman. We chatted the whole time and the time when by a lot quicker. This morning it was crazy so I went to walk and came back. I have been voting since I was 18 it was always drilled into my head. I am so glad I am finished and hate that my shows are going to be messed up by the results tonight. haha. Now I feel more of a responsibility to vote because of Tucker...although we all know either way God is in control.

Good afternoon. I voted in Lyman. The wait was probably around and hour or so. After getting through the first hall, you get to play musical chairs. I saw a lot of friendly faces and got a few hugs from people I haven't seen in years. I even got to hold my neighbor's baby girl and play "ride the pony" with her. She's such a sweet baby! Now I'm back at work. I love that you said we should pray and I agree with you whole-heartedly as the years to come are known only to HIM.

Hi friend! You know I have prayed so much about the outcome of this election. I feel the same way you do. God is in control of this great country!! We ventured out as a family today to vote (minus Ella) because Carson wanted to "vote". We had to wait almost three hours to vote! Those are three hours of waiting that I will never trade for anything. What an amazing responsibility and honor we have in this country to cast our votes!

I'm still amazed how long it took in the lines to vote there. We were in line maybe 20 minutes, but they do things funny here in PA. After having lived in CO it was the shortest ballot I've completed in awhile too. The only bad thing that happened was that my husband was in his military uniform and a woman who was volunteering there started making some very ignorant remarks. My husband handled it with grace and dignity. I was so proud of him. You could tell what "side" she was on. :) I'm horribly disappointed with the results but I keep on reminding myself that God is in control.
